BILLING
National Injury Diagnostics will handle all aspects of billing for our services, efficiently and accurately.
There is obviously no charge to the doctor for our service and we will pay all of your shipping costs, after you send your first set of films in to us. After we receive the films we will make sure to supply your office with paid shipping labels with UPS, so there is no cost to you.
Our fees are competitive and affordable. Our services are covered by medical insurance companies, Workers Compensation and all Auto Insurance Companies. If a patient needs us to, we will carry a balance till the time of settlement in auto or work comp cases.
The only time that your patient would get a bill, is if the insurance company for whatever reason sent the check for our services directly to your patient, or they have a co-pay or deductible to meet when using private health insurance. They also will get a bill if they have exhausted thier coverage and are in an unrepresented claim.
Here are further policies regarding billing:
INSURANCE PATIENTS
Private health insurance is billed and will cover our services according to thier plan benefits. All billing is handled by National Injury Diagnostics. We will take assignment on all insurance claims and bill the patient's insurance company directly. All health insurance plans are different and depend on the options that the patient has chosen in thier plan. Any unpaid portion due to deductible, co-pay or other reason is then directly billed to the patient.
WORKER'S COMPENSATION PATIENTS
All Workers’ Compensation patients are billed as Insurance patients. Federal insurance guidelines require us to accept a Worker's Compensation payment as payment in full. We will not bill the patient unless the claim is denied.
PERSONAL INJURY PATIENTS
Most Personal Injury covers 100%. We will bill the insurance company directly. If the insurance company does not reimburse for our charges, or if the patient has no insurance, we will file a lien with the patient and will await payment until settlement has occurred, as payment option. If the patient does not have auto insurance coverage, they will be covered in many case with thier regular health insurance and we can and will bill the patient’s health insurance for coverage in an auto injury. For those patients who have exhausted coverage, exhausted benefits or no benefits we recommend paying our fees as you go, which can be done in full or in any increments that the patient would be able to afford. For those who are at a current financial disadvantage, we again will hold our bill in order for the patient to pay it conveniently at claim settlement.
CASH/MEDICARE/MEDICAIDE PATIENTS
Would be billed directly for this service, as there is no personal coverage for this service.
